PHCC's History
PHCC was founded in 2005 by Anthony and Roshi Bouchier, with Eddie Villiers and Sasha White. They wished to create a club where children of all abilities could learn to play and love cricket, coached by inspiring and highly qualifies professionals.
PHCC continues to be a volunteer-run not-for-profit entity, led by past and present parents who actively participate in and support the Club.
The initial impetus for starting the club came from the desire to provide top quality professional cricket coaching for the founders’ children and a group of their friends. As word spread that the coaching at PHCC was of a higher standard than at other clubs in the area, more and more children joined, with the club growing from around 30 children in 2005 to around 300 today.
The age groups for players also expanded to include ages 5 to 16, after which a pathway was created for older PHCC children to join Brondesbury Cricket Club’s adult teams to continue their cricket at a high standard.
Since its founding, PHCC has provided the counties (particularly Middlesex) with over 50 players (of which 20+ have been girls) and has had the privilege of producing 2 international players representing England and the USA.
Our Objectives
PHCC’s aim is to create a healthy club environment where young cricketers of all abilities can learn, thrive and achieve their cricketing goals.
We work with our parents to create a buy-in factor, developing an understanding of our culture and policies that ensures we are all supporting the same goals.
Our aims are for all players and parents to :
• continue their love, passion and ambitions for cricket
• travel and play cricket in different countries
• experience and appreciate different cultures
• and most importantly, forge strong friendships that create timeless memories.
