Our Processes
PHCC’s Committees and coaches are committed to providing a process that produces exceptional cricketers, responsible and good hearted individuals and invaluable team players.
Rotation and Role Play
PHCC believes in the policy of rotation and role play.
Rotation
5 reasons why we encourage the rotation of player positions :
+ The rotation of player positions when batting, fielding and bowling at a young age is essential to the development of smarter, multidimensional cricketers.
+ It raises technical and tactical awareness and educates players on the requirements and responsibilities of each position.
+ Rotation increases inclusivity and participation, encourages players to communicate.
+ It also enables players to identify their strengths vs their challenges and promotes understanding and support within the team.
+ Squad rotation promotes squad depth and forms a cohesive atmosphere amongst players and parents.
Role Play
Understanding what role is required in each position, and the skill sets needed to succeed in that role is an important part of each player’s development of game sense.
Managers are urged to have a positive narrative and clear plans for each player during a game.
